I wish DiFi had been more prepared to engage with them. But honestly, she's right. She DOES know what she's doing. And she has one of the most comprehensive environmental records in the Senate. To call her a "climate delayer" because she wants a more fleshed-out plan is nonsense.
I mean for heaven's sake, even AOC and Ed Markey readily acknowledge the Green New Deal isn't a fully formed bill yet: it's a resolution listing all the things they want the fully formed bill to do when it gets written.
For one thing, I expect the Green New Deal will actually be a series of bills that are debated separately. I mean, come on, there's zero chance that a jobs guarantee and universal basic income will just be tacked onto the end of it, like it is in the resolution.
