Friday will mark 5 years since the disappearance of #MH370. I’ve spent that time doing deep-dive research into every aspect of the case. Over the next few days, I’ll be laying out a case for what I think happened to the plane. Not just why it went missing… 1/

Positions I've taken have been controversial. But no journalist has been more committed to staying on top of every aspect of the case. That’s why when journalists write “We may never know what happened to the missing plane”… 6/

… I know they’re repeating a conventional wisdom without understanding the underlying facts of the case. The truth is that while a tremendous amount of shoddy reporting and misinformation has been put out about MH370... 7/

.. those of us quietly pursuing the facts have seen the picture steadily become clearer. 8/

The most common thing I hear people say is, “How can a plane just disappear?” short answer: it can’t. MH370 didn’t just disappear, it was taken, aggressively, by people (or a person) who knew what they were doing. This is not disputable. How do we know? 9/
