.@mattgaetz-Can you please explain where you magically came up with over $200K to fund your initial campaign for Congress? Were you illegally given the money? You had a much smaller loan in your financial disclosure owed to your dad. Doesn’t look like you had cash lying around.

Gaetz claims in his FEC reports that the money came from personal funds. But again, the numbers don’t add up.
Gaetz has been paying himself back for his loans, using his donor’s money. Completely legal, but his donors should know about it. The key question is the original source of the money for the loans.
In his 2017 financial disclosure, Gaetz lists a “personal loan” from his father in the range of $15,001-$50,000. If he had over $200,000 in cash to invest in his campaign, why would he still have this as a liability? Can’t afford to pay his dad back?
