Why does he still work so hard to make sure women with breast cancer who are not his wife can’t get affordable treatment, Joe, why does he do that.
This question honestly seems not to occur to Joe Biden.
Biden needs to understand that someone can love his family and still be a very very very bad person, we really need leaders who understand that right now.
I mean, putting aside that it’s all nonsense, what is the market for “friends, let’s give these scorpions one last ride across the river?”
I’m not calling for purity, I’m calling for wisdom. It’s desperately needed.

Biden’s blinkered rigid adherence to triangulating civility politics is the true “purity” if anything is.
People who aren’t ever going to vote for you aren’t ever going to vote for you.

People who desperately need you to fight for them probably won’t vote for you if you telegraph that you won’t fight for them.

this seems obvious
I would like someone to explain to me why expecting people to vote for vague failed bipartisanship in a partisan age isn’t “purity politics,” but somehow expecting candidates to run on tangible goals that are literally life and death is.
