I submit: this event was elegant and full of the innovation community of Geneva. Also, if the camera was pointed the other direction, there was a chaos of robots and steampunk DIY 🤩
@opengeneva @RadioTeleSuisse @HPE @ascaphe
Yes, I did get very inspired by a chance encounter with the @EcolintGeneva #STEMcenter cross-disciplinary approach, and yes I did then bring their robots to this elegant event...
...and yes I did then get journalists, public and innovators to play with said robots 🤖... @RadioTeleSuisse @nicolascapt @ascaphe @opengeneva @HPE
... and yes, there may be live-streamed footage of me as a robot, and yes I did just take the @EcolintGeneva #steampunk #cyber #futuretech #AIgun to an @RadioTeleSuisse interview w Thomas Maillart, the city of Geneva & the @opengeneva hackathon on health (someone send links!)...
... and yes, I declare in advance that our project will win the @opengeneva @Hopitaux_unige hackathon, with a VR experience tuned to help childhood hospital patients handle the pain. Because it is really good, well researched, and is not medicine from the Middle Ages...
... and yes they still let me on camera a second time, despite my #robomask in the first one and my #Cybergun in the second one...
...(the third time is a charm perhaps, in the third interview I spoke very simply about the lengths @hpe is going to, to be a great host of @opengeneva for a hackathon for the grand public on Ethics in AI & Robotics. See—I can be serious too!)...
... I also got highlighted (by @RadioTeleSuisse) the excellent @opengeneva hackathon on sustainable fashion by @unige_en @geneva @sdgsolspace student Maria Mruk (who I’m collaborating with on a VR-for-environment exhibition and UN ITU WSIS workshop on participative innovation...
... and who is available for panels and talks with her perspective on VR, sustainability, and her expertise in the film industry).

That was a good evening @opengeneva & @HPE. Also, @RadioTeleSuisse gets 🏅🏆 for their old broadcast gear collection.

@threadreaderapp would you kindly #unroll please?
...though even there, not too serious. Look at that, I’m trying to feed some #web30 #wwwbirthdaycake from @cern to a robot at @HPE. Lest you think that cruel (because the robot didn’t have hands) the human inside did show up live a bit later...
...@hpe really is a good host for @Opengeneva. I’m honored to be working with them on their second year of support. We have arranged some fun things for the grand public of Geneva!
