1/ This Sunday, March 24, is recognized as #CherokeeNation Remembrance Day, marking 180 years since the last of 17 detachments arrived in Indian Territory following the #TrailofTears. 
2/ DYK: In 1987, federal law authorized the recognition of more than 2,000 miles' worth of trails that were followed by the 17 detachments of Cherokees who made the journey along the #TrailofTears. Today, these routes are part of the @NatlParkService
