A new lawsuit against Felix Sater alleges that he pursued a deal on Trump Tower Moscow in 2012 in part to help launder money stolen from a Kazakh bank by the family of former Soviet and Kazakh official Viktor Khrapunov. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Last year I broke a story about a NYC building deal involving Felix Sater in Dec 2015 while he was negotiating Trump Tower Moscow, but owner of the LLC Sater represented was unknown, today @ScottMStedman found in a letter published by @BuzzFeedNews that Andrey Rozov was the owner
Here's my Oct '18 story about Felix Sater & accountant Ilya Bykov (linked to Aras Agalarov) who represented the owner of 22 W 38th St in a deal that made $8 mil in one year - it turns out the owner is Andrey Rozov, the developer for Trump Tower Moscow

A neglected point from the Buzzfeed report on Trump Tower Moscow: Sater says he was never told the deal was OFF: When Cohen bailed on the June 2016 to Russia, he explained it as a POSTPONEMENT until after the RNC. buzzfeednews.com/article/anthon…
Sater only concluded it wasn’t happening—on his own, not because Trump Org formally called it off—in July when he saw Trump start tweeting about how he has “ZERO investments in Russia”.
Even as of June 2016, in other words, Trump Org hadn’t explicitly “abandoned” the deal. It sounds more like the plan was to backburner it until it could be resumed without the bad optics. Events just unfolded in a way that made that impossible.
