OK, let's be clear about this. In a 2014 GE leaflet, George Eustice wrote that he had backed staying in the Single Market consistently since 1999. Meaning this is exactly what George has always wanted.

He has ridden the tiger, and is now going to try and get his own selfish way.
Here we are.
Yet here they are in the Standard making it look like it was a compromise.

It wasn't. Robert had to choose a form of Brexit, and George is literally putting forward what he has argued for since 1999.

The "closeness" is irrelevant to both Robert and George, but yet apparently it is implied this was the reason for choosing EFTA.

Sorry, this is just not true.
Lies are the reason we are where we are today, and we don't need more to get out of this mess, we need more honesty.
