\1 Presenting a Tweetstorm on how to do embedded videos on Twitter with custom captions. I am tired of seeing subpar meme-ing and it is time you all learn.

This is an example of what I am talking about:

\2 This kind of tweet, where the video plays instantly is great for engagement and makes it easier for everyone on Twitter to share videos. Don't believe me? My most liked Tweets of all time are video tweets (and its not even close). Here is an example:

\3 However, there is also a WRONG way to do this. See the image below. This tweet sucks because it requires users to click on the quoted tweet and THEN click on the video. Yes, people are that lazy and won't click it. It destroys engagement.

\4 So how do you tweet a video with a custom caption (i.e.like Tweet 1 in this tweetstorm)? I will show you. First I will discuss Desktop, then Mobile.

\5 For DESKTOP, go to the video Tweet you want and click in the upper right hand corner and click "Embed Tweet."

\6 Now copy and paste all that code into a note pad or text editor.

\7 Once you have this, find the https: link with the "t.co" in it. See this in the image below for an example.

\8 Copy that out and paste it into a new tweet and add your own custom caption. This is how I created Tweet 1 of this Tweetstorm (see image). That's it. You are now a Twitter video-captioning God in desktop.

\9 But wait, there's more. What about Mobile? Mobile is even easier (mostly). First find your video in the mobile Twitter app.

\10 After finding your video, put your thumb down on the screen and hold it on the video. If done correctly you will get a screen that has a "Tweet Video" button at the bottom. If this comes up, congrats!!

\11 If it does not come up, keep trying. I promise it is doable, but it can be VERY HARD to do sometimes. I have sometimes spent a few minutes getting this screen to come up. There must be a technique to this, but I don't know what it is.

\12 Anyways, once you successfully click on "Tweet Video" you now can add a custom caption and send it out (see image).

Congrats you are now a Twitter video God on Mobile too. Let the world be witness to your amazing memes.

\13 In all seriousness, this tweetstorm will probably add more laughter/value to the world than any blog post I have ever written lol.
