Living through first local elections in #Turkey After 32 years!!! The dynamics & methods are so different than US- In some ways cute & funny. Every 15 min Painted vans blasting music for each different party passing by my house!!! My dog’s been going nuts for the past 14 days!!!
The District Head showed up at my door this morning (at 8!)- gave me all the documentations and location for info for the voting boots. I am so Not used to this. Very interesting. Very different!!!
When compared with USA the cost of running for office is sooooo much lower. TV spots not in the equation. Volunteers, a few painted-postered vans making rounds, and yes: music, music, music.

1. I was born into a lineage of builders, grew up on construction sites and studied Civil Engineering. There is the basic understanding that a building cannot be strong if the blocks and other materials used are weak. #elections

Things happen when they happen. Having the MSM hype things up for both sides only for it not to happen is classic MSM.

We still try to live our lives having spoilers to what's going to happen, but this isn't a leaking WH, therefore no spoilers.
By continuously believing that something is going to happen and it doesn't creates resentment and bitterness not only with the MSM for sucking, but the other party for not following through with the MSM's fake prediction.
How many times have we seen people like @JackPosobiec say "SCREENSHOT THIS" for it not to happen.

He only does that because he's an attention whore and predictions bring clicks.

By knowing what you're dealing with, you will only roll your eyes at such silly tricks.

2/ S&R is about as rudimentary as it gets ...and yet... is there anything more important in TA (apart from counter-trading CNBC) left mostly unpondered from Day 1?
3/ 'Resistance becomes support becomes resistance' ok but why? I mean it's not magic. I thought about and read up on this a while back and here's one conclusion.

Things that make me really, really angry:

Inside private women’s FB groups that I am a part of, women are STILL debating whether it’s “true” that they aren’t giving their husbands “enough” blowjobs, per said husband, his friends, their mothers in some cases, and their friends.
To which I say the following:

STAND THE FUCK UP. DEMOCRACY IS DYING. If you are debating this, you are not doing what you should be doing instead: organizing, resisting, fighting back with other women, not enabling white supremacist patriarchy.
And PS. (I can’t believe this needs to be said) Any man who isn’t also standing up in exactly the same way doesn’t deserve your mouth, your body, your pussy or your time.

Regardless of the reason, depersonalization from the events that surround us is perhaps the only way to survive

The assaults that we face, by way of unfortunate incidents or emotional hardships, compel us to react

And for years and years we do precisely this
But eventually we discover that we cannot stem this tide

That we are spent. That we cannot bear the weight of such an onslaught of unending storms

The idea of making things "right" or "better" or "harmonious" eventually gives way to the idea of Survival

Elections are complicated things. Why someone wins or loses can have many explanations. Why someone votes for a candidate is just as complicated.
1. Democrats tend to take the lessons from elections that they want, as do Republicans. We view elections from a confirmation bias, or at least activists do. Operatives don’t get that luxury.
2. So when you assume Alabama is a way forward for races nationwide, you can be wrong. Will we run against Roy Moore nationwide? Will so many Trump voters stay home?
