👇👇👇 Trust your own instincts. Every abuser/harasser I've let get close had people, including women, who vouched for him. Often, people I really trusted were taken in. Even if your best friend is telling you a guy is okay, if your instincts tell you otherwise, pay attention.
Because in every one of those cases where I had women I trusted (and to be clear, I'm not blaming them--abusers manipulate) vouch for a guy but I found him skeezy? He turned out to be an abuser.
Here's the thing: you can be friends with someone and not be friends with all their friends. If they're an actual friend to you, they'll respect it when you don't trust someone, even if they do.
And worst case scenario, if the guy who's making you uneasy, in the long run, turns out to be fine but you've avoided him? One person in the world you haven't gotten to know well, among the billions of others you haven't gotten to know well, or at all.
But most likely scenario of pushing yourself to ignore your instincts and trust a guy who gives you skeezy vibes?

You get used to ignoring/distrusting your own danger radar, and end up a victim.
You will still make plenty of male friends. There are plenty of good men out there, so trust the ones who both your friends AND your own instincts vouch for. And if either one of those sources is warning you against, even if the other one is speaking for, pay attention.
