Covington filed their response: Predictably, they too want to quash his subpoena. Whatever docs the govt has re: Flynn Intel Group, they say they were shared long ago. Kian's argument that he needs more info so he can prepare his defense is disingenuous, Covington says.
He still isnt being specific enough, either.

Good morning. The House Committee on Foreign Affairs meets with a panel of experts today to discuss climate change and its interconnected relationship to national security.

This interplay is one that often goes underreported.
This is unfortunate because when looking at climate through this lens, it is arguably the best time for ppl who disagree on the subject to form common ground.
i.e. Dont think water scarcity is caused by climate change but understand scarcity leads to conflict?
Start there.
One of the panelists this morning is Sherri Goodman (bio below) and according to her opening remarks, the time is now for America to get serious about the interconnectedness of climate change, war, famine, political unrest and terrorism.

Good morning from USDC EDVA. The motion hearing kicks off in roughly 20 minutes and when it is over, I'll post updates.
Until then, catch up on the thread here -
I will have a brief breaking down today's hearing for @CourthouseNews shortly but here are a few takeaways:
1) Kian's team contends Flynn's attys are barring access to Flynn Intel Group records because they want to ensure Kian is unable to properly prepare his defense.

Why?
2) Because that way Kian would likely be convicted and Flynn would get credit for successful cooperation applied to his sentence.

3) Def attys also argued Flynn was being disingenuous by denying access to FIG records. If dissolved already, "what is there to protect?"
