NEW: Military housing providers have been asking residents to sign NDAs in order to settle housing issues. The services are aware of it & in at least one case with the Navy, the service was the one who suggested it.

Davidson, a Marine Corps wife, has been fighting Patrician Management since 2016. She repeatedly said her home’s air ducts had mold — they repeatedly said there was not

When she was pregnant, her doctor said her white blood cell count was too high. He worried she'd lose the baby
"He asked me if I was working with chemicals. I said, 'No,'" Davidson said. "And then I pulled out my phone and said 'But look at this. Could this be it?' And I showed him a picture of the inside of our [air] ducts, and he said 'Well, absolutely.'"
Her doctor wrote a note to Patrician, saying for the health of her and her unborn baby he wanted the air ducts cleaned and checked for mold.

But a Patrician manager told Davidson that Patrician “is not responsible for remedying personal health issues of any resident."
Months later, a Navy official emailed that Patrician would split the cost of an air duct cleaning, IF the Davidsons agreed not to mention “the duct cleaning on social media” or to other residents.

That agreement was suggested by the Navy. The Davidsons ultimately refused.
So, Davidson filed a FOIA request. She got it back about a week ago. Here's what we found:

- The Navy told Patrician to do the duct cleaning; Patrician refused
- The Navy Marine Corps Public Health Center told Patrician to have a third party inspect for mold; Patrician refused
- Yet still, a Navy official said of Ms. Davidson: “I doubt she will ever be satisfied. She seems to look for new people to complain to about the same issue.”
- The Navy also told Patrician that a notice of non-renewal of the Davidsons' lease should be "a last resort."
"If after cleaning, residents continue to complain, non-renewal may become the only way to go - but we aren't there yet," the Navy official said in an email.

The cleaning never happened, but Patrician still served the Davidsons a notice of non-renewal.
Today, Davidson says her oldest son has to see various medical specialists, but they aren't sure how to treat his symptoms because they don't know what he was exposed to in the house.

Her youngest has bad respiratory problems.

She blames this on the house's condition.
At the end of the day, Davidson said she just wants answers.

"I want testing done on the house we moved from … I want this company investigated for fraud, and the 50 year contract they have revoked. I don't want this to happen to anyone else. Ever."
