1/ Globally successful #cryptonetworks will be aggregators of a scale hardly seen before.

They will also change the market power of suppliers, consumers, and distributors (once again).
2/ @benthompson @stratechery sets the stage for the current digital landscape of Aggregation Theory: stratechery.com/2015/aggregati…
3/ With cryptonetworks that find fit:

Suppliers & Consumers of the service will be unified & routed via an open and global protocol.

Distribution will happen via application interfaces that have no lock-in to the underlying base of suppliers/consumers.
4/ Attempts to grab undue market power will still be made at the distribution layer, in part because most distributors are likely to be equity-capitalized where the asset accrues value by extracting profit.
5/ The protocol layer must remain open for the “consensus system” to work + it will be cryptoasset capitalized, with little incentive to unfairly lever profits.
6/ Long term, unfair attempts by protocols to lever market power could hurt the cryptoasset’s price, as opposed to rewarding such behavior as currently happens with equities.
7/ Hopefully this architecture + asset shift all makes for a more equitable world with better balance amongst suppliers, consumers, distributors and investors ☺️
