Mitch McConnell just accused Dems of delaying votes on Trump nominees at a level "literally without precedent in American history."
He denied Obama a Supreme Court seat -- unprecedented -- and blocked so many of his judicial nominees he fueled a vacancy crisis on our courts. 🇺🇸

This is third day this week McConnell is on the Senate floor accusing Dems of unprecedented delays of Trump nominees after Republicans abused Senate rules to no end, for years, to deny Obama the ability to fill court seats he was supposed to fill.
Just a sampling of how McConnell et al obstructed Obama's nominees:
*Denied him a SCOTUS seat
*Refused to fill a circuit court seat for 6+ years (!) then let Trump fill it
*Opposed their *own* judicial nominees
*Delayed votes on lotsa Obama nominees, then voted for em anyway

I have written stories detailing each of these instances and really I should thank McConnell for letting me unearth these old stories because there are SO MANY.
Anyway McConnell blew up the Senate rules yesterday so he can confirm even more Trump judges to even more lifetime court seats that Republicans prevented Obama from filling. So that's how this all ends. ~fin~ m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5c…
Oh PS-- Trump just sent two more district court nominees to the Senate to be confirmed. Because of McConnell's rule change, they will only get 2 hours of floor debate instead of 30 for lifetime court seats.
