Love to accidentally write game mechanics that reward small-time community effort and pooling of resources to uplift our most vulnerable

I mean

It's kind of amazing after years of libertarian "philosophy" affecting game design on tabletop spaces

To write one as a socialist *and have that shine through*
Most games; "track how much money you have"

Mine; "track how much mental load you spend on worrying about money"
Tired; gold piece exchange rates and fixed buying/sales prices

Wired; socioeconomic status? More like socioeconomic stat
I'll just be public about the inspiration; you know how in every episode of Cowboy Bebop they worry about food and money and how they need a job or big break

Having one of those inspired moments when it comes to tabletop writing. Today: rules presentation in combat mechanics
I ran into this trying to read LANCER again; the combat chapter is *so dry.* Sure it lists everything but it's all, "you can take an action. Here is the list of actions." And then there's a separate header for each action, with cover rules and blah bleh bloh etc. etc.
D&D also does this for anything that isn't a spell, in most editions. It's all generic rules with action chains (take cover/hunker down, grapple/pin) or rules for line of sight and cover all in a big mess.

Meanwhile, however, classes exist with clean presentation: spellcasters!

While we're on it, there is no such thing as "unskilled labor." The concept does not exist. You cannot take a boardroom CEO and dump them at a dock and call them a longshoreman and expect them to perform flawlessly. It is a fake idea designed to depress your wages
Let me put it this way: a job where you drive is today classed as "unskilled". Driving isn't considered a skill purely because a lot of people know how to drive. This is nonsense bullshit market speak.
The next person to try to debunk this with "umm truckers don't count as unskilled" needs to take the trucking license test and drive a long way away from me because I fucking know that you dorks, I said driving, not trucking

Let's talk about Black Wall Street.
Greenwood, Tulsa was an all-black neighborhood, designed from the ground up to be for black people and black business during segregation. It was a place for black people to do business and make a living. And it did so much business, it became known as Black Wall Street.
All across American society, black people simply could not do business or live in peace, and so Greenwood was founded. And it did so much business, it's estimated that a dollar changed hands six times per month there - on average in America, a dollar changes hand every year.

Regarding Programming and it’s necessity in InfoSec:

Is programming a core requirement of entry to get into every aspect of InfoSec?

No.

Do you need to learn, at some point, programming in order to advance in many areas of InfoSec?

Yes, in some areas (but not all).
In many areas of infosec, for entry level jobs, you’ll be competitive if you have a solid understanding (not mastery) of:
- Systems (Windows, Linux)
- Networking
- Programming / Scripting
- Web Applications
- Threat Modeling (Attack Types, Defense Mitigations)
You don’t need prior experience in another field anymore for some entry level areas! If you do have experience, great! You can definitely apply it.

But it’s not required if you have some knowedge through study.
