Another day of white dudes treating simple boundary setting like aggression. I'm used to it by now. But it still annoys me that people think me not apologizing and placating them means I'm "not looking good here".
The day I start using white tech dude etiquette as the bar for how I wanna be perceived is the day I log off here forever. Trust.
Whenever I tell a white guy he's being on obnoxious and he says "honestly no one has ever reacted this way", I roll my eyes so fucking hard. In my mind that is.
I've heard that story from so many people when dealing with white guys. They will legitimately act like they've never heard the feedback you're giving them in the very same breath where they're dismissing it and calling you unreasonable.
"No one has ever forced me to accept the validity of this feedback, so honestly I have forgetten every previous instance of it. This is all new to me right now."
