THREAD: Based on 2 Cor 12: 14b.
For children are not obligated to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.
1/ Kids are not a retirement plan.

Do NOT plan to depend on your kids for sustenance when old age, accident, or life makes it impossible for you to earn a living.

Make your own retirement plans.
2/ Plan to leave a financial inheritance for your children.

Live, work, and save in such a way that your children will have a headstart in life because of your financial prudence.

It's never too early to start. I currently have a trust fund for my 7 and 9 year olds.
3/ Parents should NOT make excessive financial demands on their kids.

Responsible children take care of their parents; mine get a regular allowance from me.

But the financial support should not be coerced or elicited via threats or guilt.
4/ "Spiritual fathers" should also take care of their kids, not vice versa.

I won't say more about this.
5/ Financial freedom teachers should not rely on people who attend their seminars for their livelihood.

The Village Fire is not a business model for me. I have other sources of income.

The London event was free and we are working on a model to make the other events free too.
