Y'know... I know I've said it before, but I'm gonna say it again. This. THIS kind of shit. THIS is what woke me up to the fucked up realities of the TRA movement in the first place. Because, see, I, like SO many of my resistor sisters...
HAVE actually experienced being PUNCHED in the fucking face by a man. So, understandably, I fail to see any humour in this kind of fucked up "punch a terf" rhetoric. All I see is the fucking sheer hate & disrespect of women. Being embraced. Being applauded.
So, y'know, I've just got a few questions for you, @catsandwine . When you "joke" about this shit - do you ever pause to think about WHAT it is you're really saying here? I mean like, HAVE you ever actually punched a woman in the face? My ex did, you see.
And perhaps if you're such an advocate of MVAW, you cld give me some insight into just how it made you feel. Because let me tell you about how being on the receiving end made ME feel. He was a few inches taller than me, but easily twice my body weight/mass.
I'm only 5ft 3inchs & 55kgs so I'm not exactly an equal opponent to a man into weightlifting like my ex was,
when shit gets physical. He was able to give me a black eye just by backhanding me in the car-for rolling my eyes at him, btw.
(Doug, did you know you actually SEE stars...?). Given the fact that he was also armed with a handgun, a taser & a blade at the time though, also added in a rather terrifying new level of "fun" to the experience too btw, but I digress.
I will admit that thanks to the initial shock & adrenaline his assault prompted, there wasn't much pain at first, Doug. So, y'know, when u do decide to go punching women u don't know for the heinous crime of... DISAGREEING with you & your TRA posse's dogma
At least you can tell yourself she'll barely feel it thanks to the body shock, eh. Well, I mean, based on my own experience, she WILL be in pain the next morning but u'll be long gone by then I'm sure. Having a wine & a giggle about having "punched a terf"eh?
The thing is, mate, that the pain of being punched in the face by a dude twice your size n shit is really only the beginning. Because the next time a guy, any guy, around you moves suddenly... You'll find yourself flinching. And then feeling like a weak assed
POS powerless little coward of a woman for doing so, albeit by reflex. Then...the next time u hear a dude raising his voice you'll find your hands starting to shake & anxiety attacking you so bad it hurts to breathe. This can actually go on for fucking years.
Another fun element is the moment you find yourself shaking & in tears a few months, or even a year later as a result of simply seeing some fucking pictures of women with black eyes n shit. Talk about triggered, eh?
Who knew, eh, @catsandwine? Being punched in the face. The gift that keeps on giving.
So, back to my initial question. Does the thought of punching a woman in the face REALLY fucking appeal to u, does it? Why? Does it make u feel more powerful or something?
Does it make u feel like "more of a man"..? A better person, perhaps - bc OBVS you'd ONLY punch a woman who was fucking ASKING for it, amirite...?😳🤔
Does joking about this shit genuinely "tickle your humour pickle", mate...? I mean, I'd really love to know.
