Remember when the @nytimes closed down its ombudsman office & invited readers to serve that role on social media?
Today I called @kenvogel's tweets on @neeratanden's mom "gratuitous," "prurient," & "unbecoming." That was it.
So guess how he responded?
He blocked me:
2/ Yes, this was the tweet that apparently provoked a @nytimes journalist to block me.
I'm laughing about how @kenvogel can dish it out on a 78-year-old, but can't take it if you call him "prurient." I don't mind being spared seeing his tweets, but...
3/ ... I think the @nytimes might want to reconsider its decision to terminate its ombudsman office when its writers engage in this social media behavior towards @neeratanden's mom and toward such mild but warranted criticism.
This is pathetic.
4/ For what it's worth, I have been blocked by only two people, as far as I know:
@nytimes's @kenvogel... and Michael Avenatti, who apparently is off Twitter or has been removed.
