You KNOW this housing includes 24/7 staff supports, onsite clinical supports and connections to addictions services.
It follows the same model as all supportive housing including ictoria Johnston st location which YOU site as a success.

You are fear mongering about crime when you know that the RCMP has said the Royal Crescent site is “not disproportionately impacting the area’s crime rate”
The fact is that on the @bcliberals watch between 2005 and 2017, homelessness in Metro Van rose from 2174 to 3605 and it TRIPLED in #MapleRidge
Your government’s failures are what caused the tent cities that have been dividing #MapleRidge and communities around BC. We are picking up the pieces.
You describe supportive modular housing as a ‘failed approach’ while knowing that it’s been a success across this province, including in many BC Liberal ridings.
It has been welcomed by many municipal leaders in communities including: #Abbotsford, #Chilliwack, #Smithers, #Vancouver, #Kelowna #Vernon #Kamloops #Courtenay and many others.
Modular supportive housing has been welcomed by your own @bcliberals MLAs.
In fact, @DanAshtonBC said “I just want to thank the Minister ... not only for the individuals that are going to utilize those facilities but also for the company that’s building them and keeping those jobs in Penticton” and ....
Another of your MLA’s @Stilwell4BC said of the modular housing in her riding “Thank you for coming to the community of Parksville ... to announce the project on Corfield”
At that time she was even concerned about fear mongering, saying “I would agree that we need to hear more of these positive success stories so that people can embrace it more than they currently do instead of fearing the unknown”
If you would only listen to your own MLAs. Instead, you’re pretending to care about vulnerable people while fighting against solutions to help them .... and that’s a disgrace.
