Hey black folks, I know we’re all pissed at Sean Grubbs-Robinshaw for his racist ignorant ass comments about moving #HowardUniversity if students don’t like his dog on campus, but can we PLEASE not allow our anger to include homophobia or body-shaming based on his Insta pics?
We need to be better than that shit. You can come for him & call out his racism & classism & colonizer mentality, but his sexuality & appearance are not reasons to mock him. There’s plenty of other fodder there, friends. Don’t perpetuate one oppression while fighting another.
Further, when you say homophobic things about this racist white gay man, your black gay friends see that. We see that. We see you. So stop.
Some clarification: In addition to body-shaming, how about we also cut out sex-shaming & slut-shaming as methods of critique? I’m just asking yall to do better. This dude is never going to see your tweets so figure out what you’re actually trying to accomplish w/ this mess.
