This “sex assigned at birth” BS is the most INSANE thing yet. When I was 11 weeks pregnant with my oldest, I was able to find out his sex via blood test. How? They test for the presence of a Y chromosome in the mother’s blood. If it’s positive, the baby is a boy. Even in the 1st
trimester of pregnancy, the baby’s DNA is detectable in the mothers blood. Isn’t that incredible in and of itself? This is the earliest and most reliable way to determine sex, and it doesn’t require an ultrasound or a doctor to “assign” it based on genitalia, just genetics. The
assertion that a doctor “assigns” a sex like an arbitrary assigned seat in a classroom is beyond absurd. It’s an affront to science and reality itself. You can raise your children without forcing gender stereotypes and still teach them accurate and anatomically correct facts

This claim here is absolutely historical revisionism. John Money did not create us, he was trying to erase and eliminate both trans and intersex people.

His notorious experiment on David Reimer was to try to prove there was no innate component to gender identity. #ThisIsGC
John Money literally believed that without a penis, that David Reimer would never get to be a true man, which mirrors almost exactly the attitude that the gender critical movement has towards trans men.
The experiment failed miserably because, as it turns out, gender identity is in fact a real component of virtually everybody's psyche.

As is the case with 98+% of people born with a penis, he naturally had a male gender identity and was given medically induced dysphoria.

[🧵] GC data nerds! A date to put in your diary! 👇

25th of this month we get the UK census data on "gender identity" responses broken down by age group.

My prediction: Strong skew to younger demographics claiming an identity different from their sex.
ons.gov.uk/releasecalenda…
Why is this interesting? Well, if the trans activist ideologues are correct, then the trans population is a stable, ongoing component of the whole population, and we should expect roughly even proportions of people identifying as trans across all age groups.
If on the other hand "trans" is to any extent a fad, a youth movement, or an emergent neo-religion, we will see a related correlation with age.

This exact skew was apparent in Canada's census. Trans identification varied from 0.79% to 0.12% by age group. www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/daily-quoti…

Ik ga even ordinair reclame maken.

IMPORTANT #GenderCritical LEGAL DEVELOPMENT: (Thread) 1/ Texas federal court just threw down the gauntlet in the gender litigation wars....

reuters.com/legal/us-judge…
2/ This new decision rightly accuses the Supreme Court of unconstitutionally legislating from the bench (only US Congress can make new laws; court's can't) in its 2020 Bostock decision, which used verbal obfuscation and tortured logic....
3/ ...to claim that, fifty years ago, when Congress passed Title IX against sex discrimination in education, it also meant to include gender self-identification.

Of course, it didn't. And the Supreme Court knows it. (Read the dissenting opinions in Bostock; they're scathing.) ..

A short Thread
1/ My sister gave birth in the early hours, I’d had a weird feeling before bed that night, a bit sick. It was probably too much chocolate but I always said it was sympathy pains. My niece, I’ll call P, was perfect & when I
2/ first held her I felt an overwhelming amount of love for this tiny perfect little thing. I doted on her, saw her most days, helped my sister as much as my days would allow. P was the apple of the eye and I was her favourite person.
When her brother was born 2 years later I
3/ had the full set. I proudly announced I didn’t want kids myself as they would never be as perfect as them. P and her brother, call him T were loved more than anything in the world. My nephew was clingy to my sister but I started to take him out on our own and we soon bonded

THREAD: As a health information worker who regularly reviews records involving gender-reassignment patients, I can't stress enough the harm to medical accuracy of neo-pronouns.

Please allow me to elaborate:

#GenderCritical #pronouns #healthcare
The purpose of the medical record is, first and foremost, to ensure the accurate dissemination of information necessary for the continuation of the patient's care.

Neo-pronouns and "nonbinary" theys aren't just annoying; they're potentially harmful.
For example, when records refer to the patient by saying "they is" planning something, the reader instinctively recognizes that as a typo and now wonders, who is planning? The patient? The family? The hospital?

That's actually important to know

Another heartbreaking detrans suicide story. ‘Marcia’, 18-20 yrs old.

Irreparably modified her body, realised her mistake, & then vilified by the people she thought were on her side always, the trans ‘family’. 1/7
#detransitioner #gendercritical
My teen daughter was approached by ‘Marcia’ on Discord, due to my daughter’s determination to speak out on gender issues.

My girl is Aspergers & feels confused about her gender identity BUT understands it’s a confusion rather than a concrete reality. 2/7
‘Marcia’ told shared her story: of feeling like she was ‘out of sync’ with others & her own body. Of going by ‘Marcus’. Of taking testosterone for a “long time” & how it “messed her up”. Of cutting off her breasts.

Of regretting it all. 3/7

Does Gender exist?
1/ The word #gender is an artifact of the English language: it first was introduced by hijacking the term for grammatical gender (from Latin: genus) for ideological purposes. It then morphed into a synonym for biological sex, ...
2/ ...probably out of prudishness because sex also refers to the sex act. The gender concept therefore doesn't exist in other languages. To the degree the idea gets pushed there, it's entirely an import from the English world, often using the English word "gender".
3/ It must be kept in mind that the word sex (as in biological sex) has never played any big role in real life. It is only used by biologists and bureaucrats to categorize things according to objective criteria. Normally, our intuition is plenty enough.

THREAD: My #GenderCritical thoughts on how to constitutionally handle gender religion, and its pronouns and whatnot, in schools:

<rant>

(1) Gender ideology IS a religion. It is a faith-based, nonscientific, gnostic-dualist belief system about the soul...
(2) ...specifically, about the corruption of the physical body vs the immutable purity of the gendered soul, with ritualistic practices (language & body modification) for attending to the needs of the gendered soul over the flaws of the sexed body.
(3) Fine. It's a free country. All religions are welcome and may freely exercise. But only up until the point that their free exercise starts to interfere with the constitutional rights of other individual citizens. Then, the state must protect others' rights as well.

THREAD: By a large margin, the French National Academy of Medicine has passed a resolution urging parents to be wary of social contagion, and recommending that gender care emphasize mental over physical interventions:

Original press release, in French:
academie-medecine.fr/la-medecine-fa…
A basic English translation, sans citations:
docs.google.com/document/d/1Ts…
Notably, the position statement emphasizes that there is no test capable of distinguishing which patients will have lasting dysphoria vs. which will simply grow out of it.

Real women have long hair and big boobs, apparently. And real men don't have pot bellies. #gendercritical #nonsense #whateverhappenedtofeminism 🙄
I genuinely don't understand how anyone can claim "gender critical" is remotely feminist when its proponents are throwing tantrums about an image of a person with short hair who appears to be pregnant.
This is far from the only example of gender critical people reinforcing gender norms. A prominent "gender critical" person recently posted a video on her YouTube channel which said it was "easy" to distinguish men from women and pointed to length of hair and style of dress.

We need to talk about #genderdysphoria. First: what is it? Let’s ask @APAPsychiatric: archive.is/AT7Np #gendercritical #womenwontwheesht (1/9)
@APAPsychiatric It’s true that some kids experience distress or confusion over biological sex. But studies show that those feelings are likely to resolve on their own during puberty, without any interference. No diagnosis or medicalization needed. #mentalhealth (2/9)
@APAPsychiatric Up to 98% of kids who experience distress over #biosex desist naturally, depending on the study. Find the most recent study, in which 88% of subjects desisted, here: archive.is/sQi1M #healthcare #science (3/9)

THREAD: Gender industry "ethicists" never tire of helping drug manufacturers offload shoddy products.

Enter "OPS," something so unethical that once ethicists taste it they lose their bearings completely.

Allow me to illustrate...

#GenderCritical
pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34103366/
2/ OPS stands for ongoing puberty suppression.

As in forever. Let it sink in.

Recall that puberty-suppressing drugs were developed to help kids whose puberty comes on too soon. Their use is steeped in controversy, foremost because they damage bone development; but also...
3/...because their ensuing decrease in popularity due to these problems left the industry wondering where it could offload them next.

Which fueled the brilliant idea of suppressing puberty in perfectly healthy kids, in the name of "gender."

My open offer to the #GenderCritical crowd still stands, but now with an update.

Original offer:

If you want less penises in female spaces, fund my surgery or another trans woman's surgery and prove it.

Make a donation to a gofundme and screenshot it.
Prove you don't just want trans people to suffer and that your "penises in female spaces" thing is actually your true objection by taking action to reduce that problem.
Two updates to the offer:

Antiandrogens are used to treat sexual paraphilias and to chemically castrate sex offenders, reducing sexual urges and taking away both motivation and means of future offenses.

So fund HRT for trans women without access to it.

Why is everyone suddenly, overwhelmingly campaigning for Trans Rights? What's up? It's 2020 and more stuff happened; it's affecting child safeguarding, education, women's rights, LGB and Transgender organizations, gay "conversion therapy" bans, and elections. #cdnpoli #nbelection
Trans Rights Extremism Explained
What's the fuss, you ask? Long story in a nutshell, groups often have an extremist side; for the Transgender community, theirs are Trans Rights Activists (TRAs) aka Gender Identity Campaigners (GICs). Pro-Trans allies found a red flag.
But, Trans Rights is a good thing, isn't it? Yes. Of course. Trans health, Trans mental health, medicare, etc. Trans identified individuals—social media influencers—can explain best the risks (see @BuckAngel @MsBlaireWhite @ScottNewgent @Rose_Of_Dawn).

Don't believe that #gendercritical movement is winning? Have a read of this incredible story a fellow GC man emailed me earlier this evening.
A postmodern transgender gender ideologist professor was teaching a class on Judith Butler, a known Gender Theorist and fake intellectual.
“Before the class begins”, she said “you must deny the material reality of the two immutable sexes, from asparagus to humans. Then you must admit that all feminism that is not postmodern is false. You must all say ‘Praise Judith Butler, troubler of gender.’”

Why these anti-first amendment hate speech policies are complete bullsh*t. When men are deciding what constitutes hate, it's women's voices. Nearly every major platform is banning women from speaking about the conflicts between women's rights & transgenderism. /1
It's no accident that 'misgendering' is considered 'hate speech' while 'revenge porn' and misogyny -- even violent hatred & threats -- are not. #RedditHatesWomen & so does Medium, Twitter, WordPress, Facebook, CrowdJustice, Care2 & Change petitions, Wikipedia, Amazon & others. /2
Can we come together & build our own platforms? If you have skills or money, even if you can't put your name out there, we need you. This #censorship cannot stand. It's how fascism starts & democracy dies. We need #FreeSpeech & for-profit platforms have NO incentive to ensure. /3

On 29th June, @reddit banned the radical feminist subreddit r/GenderCritical, Reddit’s most active feminist community, which had nearly 65,000 subscribers and more than 27,000 daily users, as part of their campaign to rebrand themselves as being against “hate." #RedditHatesWomen
The subreddit's history shows that the moderators always complied with the Reddit admins, and that the standards of moderation were consistently excellent. Reddit admins never communicated with us that they had a problem with our community or our moderation.
We had no warning that this was going to happen. r/GenderCritical never promoted hate - but anti-feminists think women standing up for themselves is hateful.

It’s so funny and ironic how #liberals call #RadicalFeminism#WhiteFeminism”, yet, I’ve come across so much actual #racism directed at me and other #GenderCritical black women from self-righteous #trans activists/allies and libfems. 🙄
I’ve gotten more racism from that crowd in the past two weeks than I’ve gotten from any #RadicalFeminists in two months. Or any amount of time. Liberals routinely erase the radical #WomenOfColor from history who either called themselves #radfems or influenced radical feminism so
that they can call radical feminism “white”, misappropriate #Intersectionality from #BlackFeminism to try and justify including males in #feminism, argue that “transwomen are women the same way Black women are women”, (racist and dehumanizing comparison of black women to males),
