Again, such ideas are predicated on the fiction that prejudice has a rational core. You need only look at how bigots talk about prominent, "integrated" POC to see how that works out.
Such people inspire, if anything, a frothing rage. Yassmin Abdel-Magied, Waleed Aly, Ilhan Omar, Diane Abbott, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, all embody Blair's vision of "integration." All are hated with a blind fury by the right he seeks to mollify with our bodies.
When the irrationality of prejudice is understood, the reason for this is obvious. We simply *can't* exist in the bigot's world. By disproving their hatred, we become ever more its target.
It's why feminist Muslim women are viciously scorned by angry white men who attack Islam for "hating women." Their existence is deeply inconvenient, therefore they must be destroyed. The bigot's hate matters most to them, counterexamples only enrage them further.
They will always, always, *always* find someone who allows them to say "it's not racism if it's *true*!" Some anecdote, some personal experience, some misinterpretation, will always allow them to confirmation-bias their way into deeper bigotry.
The parallel dynamic--which I've experienced all my life as the "good Latina" and, lately, as "the good tran"-- is that it is precisely your "integration" which will be used as a metric to harshly judge everyone else who looks like you.
You will be configured as "the exception" by the nicer bigots, tolerable precisely *because* you're not like the unwashed horde. Perversely, your achievements, your "integration" only furthers their hatred of your fellows.
Because, surprise surprise, these are people invested in an irrational belief that they cling to very tightly for a welter of personal/psychological reasons. They will fit the evidence to their beliefs, not the other way around.
