It's striking (and yet depressingly unsurprising) that almost every tweet from the freshmen progressive POC congresswomen is invariably flooded with right wing racism. It's especially bad with Ilhan Omar's tweets, but the others are no exception.
The amount of "it's not a Muslim ban, also Muslims are evil" doubletalk emanating from the right is indicative of where we are. The narrative that Omar is an inveterate anti-Semite, meanwhile, has been gleefully taken up by the same people.
The staggering sanctimony from these wankers, who spout vicious bigotry in one tweet and then cry crocodile tears for "the Jewish people" in the next, is dispiriting to watch. There are no depths they won't sink to in their efforts to destroy a progressive WOC.
Meanwhile, they'll dissemble up a storm when you confront them with the anti-Semitism of their fellow travellers (to say nothing of the actual terrorists inspired by their movement). It's sickening to watch and one despairs that there's no way to reason them out of this.
