Don't expect this to be a popular take but if "Easter worshipper" is offensive then surely it's also offensive to make your "Happy Easter" tweet into a message about yourself that makes no mention of Christians, Christianity, or Jesus at all.
Seriously if Obama had tweeted this, we'd be losing our freaking minds. Let's be honest.
If we expected a Muslim woman to mention Jesus Christ when a cathedral burned, might we expect a man who actually claims the faith to make mention of Jesus Christ in his tweet about Easter? I don't know just a thought. Crazy I guess.
And by the way I think the "Easter worshiper" thing is PC bull crap. The fact that multiple high profile dems seized on that phrase at once gives the game away. It was a clear attempt to avoid saying "Christian." Trump's tweet meanwhile is just narcissism. Both are bad though imo

I went to pick up my bees tonight so I can start my hive. Didn’t realize I needed my bee suit for the pickup. I had to go down into the yard among the thousands of swarming bees to secure my own box. The woman told me if I’m doing it without a suit I need to be “smart and quick.”
I also discovered that it is a little bit disconcerting to drive home 30 miles on windy and hilly roads with a box of several thousand bees in the car with you. They were not happy, I could tell.
But anyway I survived relatively unscathed so I’d say it was a very auspicious beginning to my career as a beekeeper.

There is a very, very simple long term solution to the college debt problem: stop insisting that every 18-year-old go to a four year institution immediately out of high school.
If most of these kids worked for a few years, earned money, gained maturity, figured out their vocation, THEN decided about college, a lot of these problems would disappear. There is no downside to this proposal. There is massive downside to the current way of doing things.
The average age of a college freshman should be 20 or 21, not 17 or 18. And if that became the average age, there would also be far fewer college freshman because in the interim a lot of people would discover vocations that don't require the degree.

I’m trying to raid my kids’ Easter baskets now that they’d finally asleep but they ate all the good flavored jelly beans already and honestly I’m pretty steamed right now
From now on there will be a rule in this household that you save the red and orange jelly beans for dad. Everything I do for this family and here I am stuck with purple and green. Unbelievable.
Of course I could just buy my own bag of jelly beans but candy tastes better when you steal it from your kids

First, Passover. This is the English word for the translation of "pasha" (Aramaic) and "pesah" (Hebrew) for "he passes over." It's a reference to God passing over the Israelites when killing first-born Egyptians. (2/n)
In Late Latin, the word "pasc(h)a" was used to mean both Passover and Easter. This seems to be related to the fact that both holidays were reckoned based on the vernal equinox. (3/n)

The linked paper above is one older perspective. It was written just as the age of networking was beginning and published two years before the advent of Smalltalk-80 that brought in a new paradigm of Object Oriented Programming were objects communicate via passing of messages.
Functional Programming makes rather massive claims that it is somehow fundamentally different than the procedural programming that came before it. Both are based upon functions calling other functions with the passing of arguments as in Lambda Calculus mathematics. 🤔 Not new.

When I was figuring out my gender identity, I talked to a lot of people about how they figured out their identities. A lot of people told me that it “just felt right.”

More often than not, that frustrated me to the point of tears. Here’s why.
When you’ve gone through your entire life with an identity that doesn’t feel right, wearing clothes that don’t feel right, answering to a name and pronouns that don’t feel right, how on earth are you meant to know what “right” feels like in the first place?
For a long time, nothing felt right to me. And I couldn’t even begin to think about the pronouns and adjectives and nouns that did feel right to me. It was like spending a year in a basement and then being asked to look into the sun. Every option involved pain.
