This week, Saudi Arabia executed 37 men for “terrorism,” which includes attending rallies for human rights. There are reports that confessions were obtained through torture.

I was helping someone look for a portable air conditioner and I came across this photo and it disturbed me.
First, yes, that’s a lot of lower leg. It’s really more of an advertisement for shins and feet.
But what’s happening in this scene? Is it hot outside, so this couple is relaxing in the cool indoors, thanks to their portable air conditioner, enjoying a scalding cup of coffee and...reading a book together? The way couples do?

Saudi Arabia is pushing Vision 2030 – a pivot to thrive in a post-Peak Oil world. They want to be seen as a comfortable place for western companies to do business. They’ve made deals with @SixFlags to build amusement parks. Feel free to not go to @SixFlags and tell them why. 2/3
See if a performer you like is getting paid to do a concert, the way @MariahCarey, @pitbull, and @tiesto have. Ask them to not go – or to at least use their platform to speak out about human rights. Don’t let KSA artwash its abuses. #FreeLoujain 3/3

Every #MemorialDay I re-read the Medical Report of Action written by my late grandfather, Abraham Lenzner, about the events of September 25, 1943. He was the Senior Medical Officer on LST 167 when it was attacked as it unloaded supplies on the island of Vella Lavella. 1/
He was standing next to a close friend as three Japanese planes came “diving at the ship out of the sun.” He scrambled onto the main deck and ducked inside to grab his helmet as bombs rocked the boat. 2/
The spot where he‘d been standing was destroyed; his friend, killed. My grandfather was hit by shrapnel. The lights went out. The ship was engulfed in flame.

“All this action,” he wrote, “was but a matter of seconds.” 3/

We have to start a Wall of Shame - with names of artists & celebrities who happily accept #Saudi regime money in return for burnishing image of a Crown Prince who orders the murder, detention and torture of opponents. We will remember those who agree to overlook gender apartheid
There are big name celebrities who have been rumoured to be next for events in #Saudi Arabia. I have very little faith in any of them doing the right thing. Their publicists will undoubtedly come up with some media friendly statements washing their conscience clean.

Glad to see some finally pay attention to misogyny in #Saudi Arabia - I call it gender apartheid. RIP Jamal Khashoggi. It should not be lost on us that it took the murder of a man for some to finally pay attention to women.

The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.
