Just been approached by a Yankees staff who has been ordered to remove us from the stadium (under the orders of @NYCFC and Matt Peligrino in particular) if we hold up a 3x4 “NYCFC antifascists” banner.
#NYCFC gameday operations decides the way to deal with their Nazi problem is to ignore it and eject anyone who complains by hold a small flag.

This seems smart!
Video of one of the two (that’s me obvs) being ejected from #NYCvCHI by NYPD / @yankeestadium security on the orders of @NYCFC game day operations exec, for holding up a 3X4 “#NYCFC antifascists” flag in the supporters section. It’s that blue thing
The flag that gets you ejected by #NYCFC staff versus the flags that don’t 🤔

#MLSlikesFascists
Apart from being fascist propaganda, that Nazi one doesn’t even have anything to do with #NYCFC or football.
More pics from @NYCFC directed security ejecting two of us for holding up a small “NYCFC Antifascists” flag at the end of #NYCvCHI match Wednesday. An already banned neoNazi was reported in the next section and not ejected by @NYCFC gameday ops

FYI : Hearing now from a source I may face a @MLS wide ban from @NYCFC gameday ops if I again try to hold up that small flag on Saturday at 1pm match vs Orlando. Not officially from club, but back channel.

I & others intend to do so again. And again until #NYCFC tosses fascists
I was told this is @mls league policy. Really? Well clearly holding up small flags in the supporters section does not get people thrown out. Even at #NYCFC
Large banners, poles, yes. But small flags? People aren’t thrown out for that size flag
So it must be the content of that flag which is against @mls policy, right? Wrong. Here are a few flags across the league with the same emblem
In fact almost every club in @mls flys at least one “anti-fascist” flag at every match
So if this isn’t an @mls policy on content that caused this flag to be banned, and it isn’t an @nycfc policy on size that caused it, then we are left with only an #NYCFC policy on content, different from other MLS clubs.

So who at @NYCFC is responsible for this policy?
Let’s see. We can leave out the on-the-pitch staff. We can leave out Brad Simms as this began before he arrived. We can probably leave out the finance and ticketing folks as it’s not their jobs, and many are new. 🤔🤔🤔 Who could it be #NYCFC ?
Maybe it’s not #NYCFC but City Football Group, whose Ferran Soriano looks after @nycfc from Manchester. But that would be shocking given the antifascists of both his current employers and his last (Barcelona) 🤔

That also seems unlikely because other CFG owned clubs don’t ban antifascist banners. Here’s the back of the membership card for “Columna Supporters” group from Girona, also CFG owned and where our coach is from...
So again, let’s look at who’s been at @NYCFC while this harassment of antifascists has gone from n, and who’s department it is to oversee what happens in the stands 🤔
I’m hoping Mike Cullen is not acting without his bosses approval, so until someone at @NYCFC stops blaming league policy (cause other clubs can fly these flags), the buck stops with Matt Pellegrino, Senior Director, Operations and Match Day Security at #NYCFC
Maybe it’s time he makes some public statements about this
If you’d like to prod @NYCFC to do something *before* another round of embarrassing press reports hit, you can contact Matt & the club and ask them to kick out the fascists, and you can contact our collective of fans. It’s all on the flyer
