1/ This sentence absolves Trump/Flynn of any responsibility for lying to law enforcement in August 2016: "[T]he report shows that Trump associates met with Russians after the intelligence community said in October 2016 that Russia was interfering in the presidential election..."
2/ If I'm @RepAdamSchiff, I want the readout from the August 17, 2016 classified briefing Trump and Flynn received; I want to know if either man offered *any* intel in response to briefers' concerns about infiltrations and solicitations Trump and Flynn *knew* had already occurred

RT has asked me to go on its air *multiple* times. Because it's Kremlin propaganda, I've always refused. Aaron J. Maté (@aaronjmate) had no problem being a Kremlin mouthpiece, however—when the Kremlin came calling, he said "yes" and became its interlocutor for the Mueller Report.
1/ Maté has been a Trump-Russia denier from Day 1—he blocked me on Twitter in 2017, I believe. RT has had him in their scopes for 2 years now, as surely he knew when he agreed to go on its air and transmute his ill-researched cynicism into literal, straight-up Kremlin propaganda.
2/ That YouTube sent 24% of its users to Maté (@aaronjmate) to process the Mueller Report is horrifying. It had hundreds of mainstream takes it could've algorithmically recommended—let alone experts who fully understand the threat the Kremlin poses—but no. washingtonpost.com/technology/201…

While Rod was protecting Mueller, some of us noted he was obligated to recuse himself from overseeing Mueller's work by virtue of being a key witness in the obstruction probe. We said it didn't speak well of his ethics that he wouldn't recuse. No one listened—and now here we are.
1/ Long ago I did a long thread on Rachel Brand—the #3 at DOJ—on the assumption Rosenstein would do the honorable thing and recuse. Brand must've thought so, too—which is why she quit her job, seemingly not wanting to oversee Mueller. But we were both wrong—and now we know *why*.
2/ One could make the same observation now as to Barr writing a 19-page obstruction memo/job application, then overseeing the obstruction case—or getting a waiver on 1MDB (which he should have nothing to do with) or allowing his kids/kid-in-laws to work in offices they shouldn't.

BREAKING: Now we know why Rosenstein—a pro-Trump witness in the obstruction probe targeting Trump—never recused himself from overseeing the Mueller probe when he should have and weighed in on obstruction when he shouldn't have: he told Trump he was on his team and would help him.
1/ You can't blame America for concluding the following: Trump is corrupt. Barr is corrupt. Rosenstein is corrupt. Nunes is corrupt. Whitaker was corrupt. McConnell is corrupt. Graham is corrupt. All White House staff are corrupt. Everyone we were supposed to trust—we *couldn't*.
2/ @AriMelber makes a great point: Rosenstein secretly and unethically telling Trump he wasn't a target, and that he would "land the plane [of the Mueller probe]" for him, is quite possibly what gave Trump the backbone to refuse to conduct any face-to-face interview with Mueller.
