This is interesting. For years Obamacare was a political vulnerability for the Democrats, latched onto by Republicans. But that appears to have flipped.

Video shows a prominent GOP senator insisting it won’t be repealed after grilling on past votes.
Democrats retaking the House in 2018 midterms was widely attributed to hammering away at healthcare, especially the threat posed by Trump’s repeal plan. A number of anti-Obamacare congressmen got turfed out after a backlash.
Obama said in a recent interview he was told by aides as they debated the legislation that there would eventually be a political boost. Added that it just took much longer to come around than he hoped.
There was a telling example of the new political reality when Trump recently backed a legal push to declare Obamacare unconstitutional.

Fierce pushback from Republicans on the Hill. President then long-grassed issue, saying healthcare reform can wait until after 2020.
Fascinating to see where GOP ends up for 2020. Suspect focus will be on attacking Dems’ Medicare For All rather than touting their own plan.

Not repealing Obamacare a big campaign pledge missed by Trump. Sure he’ll repeat support, but don’t expect it to be front + centre.
