@AC360 Yes! Thank you Anderson. Charlottesville was NOT a protest about Civil War statues. It was the Unite the Right rally, organized by two @UVA grads, Jason Kessler and Richard Spencer, which brought neoNazis, Nazis, KKK, white supremacists, to the march. 1)
2) One thing that should be noted is that Charlottesville and the entire issue of Confederate statues are among 2016 and current Russian #ActiveMeasures @AC360 @AliVelshi When a second rally was attempted by Spencer in DC in 2018, without the extra “help” from the FSB, it flopped
3) But thank you for pointing out that the Unite the Right event in Charlottesville was about much more than the statue of Robert E. Lee. There was something malevolent in that gathering, genuine menace, pure unadulterated HATE, and evil. Thank you Anderson. @AC360
