Hmmm. Game of Thrones. Look, no spoilers here, but if you're sensitive mute this thread.
I am disappointed. I can't quite put my finger on why but I am.
It could be this battle coming in same breathe as Endgame, which was euphoric and emotionally devastating and which it simply couldn't compete with.
It could be the way it was shot. The chaos is great, but this kinda sludge filter was quite irritating. It could be the fact that nothing actually really that surprising happened.
Those proper old GoT moments when you would think WHAT IN THE NAME OF FUCK JUST HAPPENED. It's been a while, and we didn't get it here.
I had that bad nerd feeling at the end, along the lines of: Why exactly was this a big deal? Something didn't quite work. But in truth I don't think I know why, and it is irritating me.

Really strong results for Remain overnight. A demonstration of the strength of Remain voters and the punishment they can inflict on parties who refuse to represent them.
Despite this, the results are being eagerly misrepresented as a punishment for parties not 'delivering' Brexit. The media bubble will likely frame that way and many politicians will hear what they want to hear.
The gap in the way the media portrays Remain party victories vs ie a Brexit party surge is quite startling.

This is fucking depressing for so many reasons.
The Leave figures are a fucking disaster, but the Remain figures are also terrible.
Truly depressing to realise that a great big slice of the country thinks people like me aren't truly British because one of our parents had the temerity to be born outside the UK.

In a bid to resolve the differences between them, 5 of us met with them to discuss; and the conversations were extensive and productive.

Just some background before we begin, Reign of Fire is a post-apocalyptic fantasy film that was released in 2002.

You might not remember it because it came out the same year as another high profile fantasy film, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
For a seemingly forgettable B movie, the cast is bananas.
