It's interesting "dignity" is a recurring theme with Biden. It scratches the same itch as the hurt pride and loss of status consuming so many voters, who are treated as commodities in late stage capitalism (or just old and ignored). It's the lighter side of the nerve Trump hit.
The way I always shorthand Humanism is "I believe in the fundamental dignity and worth of every other person, and I believe I have a responsibility to help as many people as I can as much as I can before I die." You see dignity pop up a lot in human rights writing.
"The dignity of work" is a bullshit phrase often meant to shame, and I prefer Warren WAY MORE on policy and will support her in the primary, but don't underestimate the resonance of that approach with older and more white bread voters.
