Look, the Founders were brilliant enough to provide a solution to this. If you don’t like it propose a Constitutional Amendment what will require a majority of the less populated states to vote to give up their own outsized power oh wait I see shit.
It is fascinating to see how people felt very free to aggressively fuck around with the fundamentals of the US government for the first 120 years or so, but after WW II we’ve been in this frozen “It’s perfect! We got it right! Adjust the margins and no more!”
The characterization of America as the surprising underdog quarterback who improbably to the team to State (won WW II), and has been getting fatter, slower, more nostalgic and less tolerant of change ever since only gets stronger every year.
