Whoops looks like I’m a little late today! I got distracted by a very sexy dude that was putting the moves on. But I’ve sorted myself and am ready for the big reveal!
Well @FalseKnees your reputation can rest easy because today’s #CrowOrNo was a crow! A carrion crow as some of you guessed.
While the bill is pretty prominent in this photo it’s just a trick of the lighting. Overall though it’s just too narrow for a raven, though carrion crows do have a bit heavier bills than American crows.
It’s also just too small in comparison to the rubbish bin for a raven.

I too get lots of emails asking how to get a career studying crows/corvids. The tone of my responses has changed so much over the last two years. It went from optimistic sage advice to “if you figure it out let me know”
Right now I’m considering myself lucky because I went from being unemployed in 3mo to employed in a temporary position for the next 8mo. That feels like a huge win. I don’t let myself think much past that. To really do the math on it.
Because when I do I have a hard time doing much of anything. Why? I mean...why not? The financial insecurity, the loss of personal identity, the general mental toll grad school took. How am I supposed to look at having to hustling for 8mo of employment and not mourn that?

Ok, I need some crow content in my life right now. You probably do too. Let them enchant you for the next 3min.
1. It’s the breeding season right now which means baby crows will be, or are already on the loose depending on where you live. It’s okay if they can’t fly-that’s normal! Their parents still care for them. You can recognize them by their blue eyes. Bill turns black fast tho.
2. Once the babies reach independence they will leave the territory to make it on their own, but some, especially sons, will stay on as “helpers”. We don’t really understand why, but breeding females with helpers raise more offspring over their lives than those without.

I have a few #DenaliDiaries to share before I wrap for the season. In episode 6 I stan an owl nest and discuss the secret to their quiet flight.
Here is mama great horned owl in her nest. Isn’t she beautiful?!
Great horned owls usually use old nests that were built by other birds like red-tailed hawks, ravens, and crows. So not to plug too hard here but, yes, crows actually contribute to the creation of usable habitat for other birds.

My parents' shared account was #stolen. My guess is that #Facebook is officially left open to trial and error #attacks.
The special section in the #url given by #Facebook users for the profile can be used in the login section. In this way, the easy password for my forgetful parents was #stolen by trial and error.
If the #public url had not been accepted, this would not have happened. Anyway, when the same person enters into the #account, he finds the e-mail, and then he enters the e-mail with the same #password.

Etwa 6 Prozent der staatlichen Ausgaben fließen in die Pensionen. Die Beiträge der Versicherten decken die Pensions-Auszahlungen immer besser. Für den Zeitraum 2016 bis 2020 werden vom Staat insgesamt 4 Milliarden weniger für das Pensionssystem ausgegeben als erwartet.
Misst man die staatlichen Ausgaben am BIP, zeigt sich: Der Anteil bleibt in den nächsten Jahren stabil – obwohl die Zahl der Personen, die ins Pensionsalter kommen, steigt.

The usual vault rules apply: YMMV, my way is not the only way, everyone's situation and journey are different. This advice is meant for new and first-time writers aiming for traditional publishing.
1. 1st, permission: You don't have to tell ANYBODY that you want to write a book. Yeah, science says that part of goal setting is to engage fam and friends to make yourself accountable, but... you do you. I kept my writing a secret from all but my husband until I had a 1st draft.

It was past midnight and i had left the club in a hurry, I didn't call a cab so I started walking down the road hoping to find a cab.
The road was empty, all I could hear was the chirping of crickets and the hollow dark of the night. I was beginning to get scared
I called Ahmed a couple more times and he still didn't pick up. I was so worried about my own safety but I still worried about his as well.
I was a long way from home and there was no way I could walk to my house, I needed a cab or a small motel to crash for the night

Dad was detained in a #Texas detention center where @RAICESTEXAS consulted. Dad accepted a deportation to be quickly reunited w/ his infant child. However, the Dad was deported & NOT his child. The now 8-month-old baby has been in ORR custody for 4 months. #EndFamilySeparation
