Guys, there's a small business lesson off this tweet I quoted.

I am sure you have seen the tweet, and it's numerous variants. I bet you didn't know there's a business gem hidden inside.

Well there is, and I will explain it.

So... (see next tweet below)

So one of the frequent questions I get is, "I don't have money, how do I promote nonetheless on social media".

My response is always: if you don't have money you have time. So put out educative content. Teach people about the topic your business serves.

For example: if you...
...sell wristwatches, teach people about wristwatches - how to select them, what kind of watches go with what kind of dressing, the history of watches, how have they evolved over the years; there's a TON of stuff you can teach about wrist watches for the next 5 years.

Open a...
Twitter account, an Instagram account and a Facebook page, and share your content about wristwatches there.

Guess what? NONE of them does it. You know why? because I gave them the information for free. if I packaged it as a =N=75,000 per seat workshop, they'd be all over...
themselves implementing.

They dont do it because they think its hard work, they think there's a social media silver bullet, something you'll post and bam, thousands flock in and buy your product/service.

Here's news,: There's no such thing.

The way to make social media work...
is to consistently post education/entertaining content. I call it EDUTAINMENT. Mix and mash. Teach people and they will see you as their guru, their expert, and what do people do with experts, they buy from them.

They follow them. They recommend them to others so they buy.
Stop looking for the one thing you'll post that will create a buzz. You never know which of them will create the bang you want and launch you into the stratosphere, and how will you know if you don't consistently post quality content?

Looking for the one thing to post is futile.
I am certain the "O jewa ke eng" poster didn't know that tweet would go as viral as it did.

For her it was just another post.

If I were here, I'd compile the responses that got the most comment other than the main tweet, and publish it as a book. It'll sell like crazy.
Anyway, thats the lesson. Post every day. Post multiple times a day if you can manage it and you can with automation tools (HootSuite is like $20/=N=7000 per month).

Post on Facebook. On Twitter. On Instagram.

Be consistent. Be VALUE-ful. Be entertaining.

God bless your hustle
