Journalists need to stop using lazy “ultra-Remain” language. Remainers are still the same Remainers wanting a status quo. Not suggesting we join the euro or Schengen or any more entrenched version than we already have.

We vote for Remain parties wanting the same thing.
There was a time when many Remainers may have accepted the pointlessness of a truly soft Brexit.

That time has long gone.

The duplicity, disrespect, division, disruption & the sheer incompetence of 3 years of Brexit stagnation, plus the lies & criminality.

It affected us too.
That doesn’t make us ultra-Remainers.

The language is an attempt to find a false equivalence with the hard Brexiteers. Their position takes an extreme on every ground.

So credit the Remain parties for a consistent stance on the status quo, not an extreme one.
