Those final results, expressed as % change from 2015, are remarkable:

UKIP: -82%
Tories: -24%
Labour: -4%
Lib Dem: +109%
Green: +273%

The notion that Tories shed seats because “people just want them to get on with Brexit” doesn’t fly when you look at where those seats went.
I note that there are independents... and many are claiming that a majority of independents are pro-Brexit...

But even if every single one were pro-Brexit (and of course they are not- tons of purely local reps), then it’s still less than the LD-Green swing (well, just LD alone).
Having said that- voter turnout and voter enthusiasm is an issue here. Farage is providing a much clearer clarion call for Brexiters in the Euro elections— and we are currently too scattered on that, without exciting Europe manifestos from parties to put us on front foot.
