The other thing that stands out is the extent to which the story careens between drama and farce. On its surface, a Russian autocrat ordering up a mass campaign of espionage and interference, and a U.S. President trying to stop the investigation into it, sounds like a thriller 
But the actual details -- from the Savushkina trolls to the "I love it" email to Trump's aides yes-ministering all of his demands to stop Mueller -- read like a satire
