More and more people are resorting to buying their prescriptions from less than reputable 3rd party sources. #Thread
Due to this, we thought it would be a good idea to instruct you on how to home identify your purchase and prevent an adverse reaction.
You are going to need a few things to help you with your identification.
1- A known good pill from a prescription filled by a pharmacy. 10 pills would be helpful but not needed.

2- A clean white sheet of paper

3-A pen

4-A ruler

5-A magnifying glass

6-A butter knife or Pill Splitter

7-A good gram scale (pot scale)
The first thing you are going to do is go to a well lit flat area and lay your paper down in a portrait or sideways manor. Down the middle from top to bottom, draw a line separating the paper into left and right sides.
On the left side write script at the top and on the right side write bought at the top. From this point on, the pills should also be on these sides of the paper and should never cross the line.
First, place a single pill on each of their respected sides of the paper. Now are the pills the same colour? Are they the same shade of White or Blue or... ? Do they have the same gloss on them (same amount of shiny).
Secondly, do the pills feel the same? Are they the same size and shape? Do the pills have the same roundness and well defined edges? Do the pills smell the same?
Thirdly, take your magnifying glass and look at the pills, the good one on the left first. Does the purchased pill have the same lettering on its side? Do the pills look to have the same grain texture. Is the coating even on the purchased pill?
Is the lettering on the purchased pill crisp and as deep as the script pill?
4th step- Take your butter knife or pill splitter and split the pills in half. Does it take the same effort to split each pill? Is one pill more crumbly than the other. Did the coating on one pill flake or tear off?
The 5th Step- Place 10 (Left side) script pills on your scale and weigh them. Take that weight and divide it by 10. That is the average weight of a tablet. Now weight 1 tablet of your purchased pills. Is it within .05% of your Average Tablet Weight?
If after answering these questions, and the pills do not match every criteria but you know that you bought the “same” pill (not the generic of the name brand or vice versa). Then you were shipped fakes and need to dispose of them.
Please spread this around and drop an unroll please. Thanks, be safe and if you even question it, toss it.

An online pill identification to cross reference the pills you may be “buying” online.

This link will help you identify if you received a “fake” package of drugs. I.E. how many pills should be in the bottle or blisters on a card.

To expand this thread some, we are adding a few home science test. Test 1 is a dissolution test. For that you will need 2 like clear drinking glasses, a stopwatch or timer and a thermometer. To each glass you will add warm water @ 98°c. In equal ammounts.
