i don't want to sound dramatic but like, in the past few years, webcomics have become my lifeline. they kept me sane and healthy and made sure my creative well was always full. i can't stress this enough--READ WEBCOMICS. They're Gold. Here are some of my favorites:
It feels right to start with the one webcomic that got me into the world of webcomics: "Check, Please!" by @ngoziu
This story is my full heart. Think: college, hockey, pies and a lot of feelings. It's my ultimate comfort read.

Next, "BANG&BURN" by @riseniron and @fever_bite (who, btw, are super talented and truly amazing people).
Think: druglord, undercover DEA agent, a world of greed and temptation. The tagline in their website is "A crime romance webcomic" and that's Perfect

Always, "Heartstopper" by @AliceOseman.
I love this story with my entire soul. It's warm, soft and it feels like a hug.
Think: British grammar school, two boys who fall in love and a lot of feelings. I always look at Alice's work for inspiration.

Next, "Bang! Bang! BOOM!" by @deltastic and @Croikster.
Think: 1930's heists, magic, and two gangsters in love. The art and writing in this comic are so so intricate, and I'm stunned at how Del and Croik are always coming out with such incredible content.

Goodness, "Heart of Gold" by @_elibaum and @viv_tanner.
I don't even have the words to describe how stunning this comic is. I cry happy tears just from looking at it. Think: a priest with a secret, a hopeful pianist, and a cathedral full os mysteries.

Oh, "Lies Within" by @byelacey.
Think: monsters, twisty pasts and secrets. It's a queer supernatural comic, and I'm honestly in love with Lacey's art and writing. I'm slowly adopting all the characters.

Think: lesbians, vampires, 1908 New York City. Everything about this comic appeals to my aesthetic, and I cannot stress enough how amazing the style is. Give it a try, it will not disappoint.

"Eerie Crests" by @inannaperegrin
Caleb has such an incredible style and aesthetic. This story always makes me want to wander into the woods and uncover its mysteries.

I've had so so much fun keeping up with this comic. I love the art and Taylor created an incredible world for this story.

Man, this comic got me through tough times. It's so lighthearted and funny, and i cannot get over how fun Mad's style is.

I have not laughed this hard in a long time. The story is amazing, the art is amazing, the humor is on point, and I am addicted to it.
Think: stolen identities, swashbuckling adventure, sea sponges.

I cannot stress this enough: this webcomic is BEAUTIFUL. Lyndsay has such an incredible and unique style, and I'm honestly in love with all the characters.
Think: scrappy musician, found families, a lot of feelings.

The comics are very different, but the stories are so interesting & the art never fails to STUN me.

The art in this comic is jaw-dropping and the entire world Ariel created for the story is incredibly intricate and interesting.
Think: a world where magic depends on length of hair, and the too powerful are hunted and burned.

My eyes are always happy when looking at this comic, and I love how layered the story is. A truly lovely romance, too.

Think: fantastical journeys, magic and boys in love.
Hari tells a story of romance, nature and magic, with lots of flower symbolism and incredible, incredible art.

This is probably the cutest webcomic I have ever read. Every update makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and the romance in it is so well done.
Think: slice-of-life comic about feelings and growing up.

Think: 80's, sci-fi, seaside town.
This webcomic looks like a film. Every page makes me feel like I'm watching something onscreen. It's STUNNING. It does a great job of dealing with complex themes and feelings.

I am so curious about this story and each update makes me more excited. Bane's style is so fun, and I honestly can't wait to learn more about these characters.
