Let's be clear here, this is what is going on with Barr.

2. Barr can, however, petition the courts to allow release, and the House Democrats have requested he do so. He refused, and this adds to their reasons for the contempt vote. Important to note, he is not required by law to accommodate their request to petition the court.
3. Democrats additionally feel his no-show for their hearing last week adds to their contempt charge. However, they had demanded, against normal order, that he be questioned by two prosecutors. Je did not agree but offered to teach an amicable arrangement.
They refused any accommodations and held the hearing as scheduled. Naturally he didn't show, as he should not.
4/ So who is responsible for the creation of laws? Congress, correct. So while the majority in the House holds AG Barr in contempt for not agreeing to violate the law, not one Democrat has introduced a bill to change the law they want violated.
5. They have not ONE act that is contemptuous; all acts cited are either against standard procedured or flat-out a violation of law. Of course, this all ultimately starts with the fact that the Mueller report didn't find collusion. The obstruction argument is weak.
This is their swan song. This is all they have. Head's up chaps. FISA declas, IG report, Huber report. Trump hasn't even fired a shot yet.
