I have discovered Wing Yip, a compound of British surburb and Chinatown, just outside Croydon. It's brilliant.

It's a proper Las Vegas decorated shed of a building. British brick Chinese vernacular.

There's a proper chinatown cum 90s shopping centre going on.

And small businesses in a really fun as hoc mix of things.

But the real centerpiece it's the marvelous Wing Yip supermarket, which I can only presume caters for every Asian restaurant in London. It starts small...

... But then gets bigger...

... And then even bigger.

And now I know where to come for chili sauce.

But it's all so intriguing. Lit like a stage set with countless tableaux.

I call this piece: Free Speech Futility, 2019

It all should be at Biennale.

And I bought enough beancurd for 2019.

They have so much space they don't know what to do with it.
