Atheism has not met its burden of proof claim that the religious have not met their burden of proof for their religious claims.
That is the FAITH of the atheist.
Is religious belief RATIONALLY WARRANTED? Yes.

It is one thing to claim to be an “external world skeptic” because people who claim there is a world outside the mind “haven’t met their burden of proof” — and it is quite another to claim that those who believe in an external world are IRRATIONAL or NOT RATIONALLY WARRANTED.
Atheism is very much like “external world skepticism” or “other minds skepticism” or “uniformity of nature” skepticism or “truth skepticism.”
You can be a skeptic about all these things because there isn’t some sort of proof that FORCES your will to believe them, but …

Well, to deny the external world, or the existence of other minds, or the uniformity of nature, or truth itself on “skeptical” grounds isn’t rational or reasonable.
It makes you a clown.
