I've seen this on my timeline three times in the last hour, so I guess I'll point out that it's a (stupid, racist, sexist) vanity project by a guy who has 14K Twitter followers and no IMDb credit more impressive than a one-scene role as "husband" on a 2017 Modern Family episode.
It's got no release date and no distribution info. The "production company" behind it has no other credits, and the casting director who worked it appears to be the guy who wrote and directed it using a fake female name.
Oops. I spoke too soon about that last part. It turns out that Jeremy Saville does in fact have a wife—named Jeryldine Saville—who helps him make his weird unfunny movies.
And now I feel bad about my calumny. #nevertweet
So it turns out that Saville's previous movie is somehow on Amazon Prime, and I've been watching it with one eye while I make the kids dinner.
I feel ... less bad about my calumny than I did half an hour ago.
It's a comedy about an engaged couple in which they're clearly going to have a Happily Ever After, but by fifteen minutes in you hate both of them and hope they each die alone and unmourned.
Also the actors are making very weird choices.
The premise is that the dude wants to be sure his wife is The One, so he keeps going behind her back to test her love. But every test is super creepy and horrible.
And because Saville has no idea how to create actual dramatic tension with characters we're actually rooting for, what he does instead is have the fiancée react repulsively each time and then magically reverse herself at the last moment.
And this is what he does with a movie that's NOT called "Loqueesha."
