The share of people suffering from hunger has decreased dramatically over recent decades.

Worldwide it fell from about 18% to about 11% since 1991.

Even though the world population has been growing, the number of people who are undernourished has been falling over recent decades.

Compared to 1991, there were about 200 million(!) fewer undernourished people in 2017.

The share of little children suffering from stunting (low height for their age) has been falling significantly since 1990.
