Max must think he has made some telling point about wealth distribution when in reality it is utter subterfuge.
Hey Max, any kid with a nickel in his/her hand is wealthier than 49% of Americans combined. You know why? Because bottom 49% of Americans have a negative net worth. 1/
And @MaxKennerly, it's not because they are all poor. Among them are doctors, engineers, lawyers, business people, and so on. Younger people buying their first home usually end up with a negative net worth. It's not a bad thing. Socialists always use deceptive statistics. 2/2
On top of everything else, Elizabeth Warren's wealth tax is unconstitutional.

CEOs escaped handcuffs primarily because the prime movers responsible for the crash were in Congress (e.g. Barney Frank, the Massachusetts Democrat) and govt run enterprises (e.g. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac). Many in govt, mostly but not exclusively Democrats, were complicit.
Here's a short list of accomplices who caused the financial crash of 2008: Banks, Federal Reserve, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, many members of Congress, 3 Presidents and their Treasury Secretaries. CEOs weren't tried because court proceeding would have hauled them all into court.
For leftist politicians like @AOC, braying about CEOs (for whom I have no sympathy either) is easy. Looking into government malfeasance caused by their own ideology and Congressional members as well as Presidents of their own party is hard.

1. Trump's Appeal Revealed
Most people on the left and right would agree that Trump will be very hard to beat in 2020. Why is that? With negative coverage from MSM all day long, why is Trump still so formidable politically? What is his appeal? I see cognoscenti struggling.
2. Democrats and MSM have convinced themselves that Trump supporters are irrational and beyond reason, while refusing to admit, even to themselves, that Trump can never win on the strength of his hard-core supporters alone. So what about the others. Why would so many favor Trump?
3. The truth is so obvious that ideological zealots, whose entire worldview is based on ideology and who cannot recognize anything else even if it bites them in the ass, just don't see what's right in front of their eyes. And that is: Results matter!

The highly talented Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just realized that the government is full of people easily corrupted by wining and dining, who at the same time lecture everyone else about those profit-seeking demons that have captured their own pitiful souls.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doesn't even realize that she has just made an eloquent case for why we should never trust anything a member of Congress says because their talking points come from these pitiful staffers who are so easily bought. Meanwhile, in AOC's own state of NY:
The excitement with which @AOC is sharing her epiphany indicates she thinks everyone is as ignorant as her. Hello miss, this is news to very few. Why do you think people don't trust the govt? Everyone knows bureaucrats are easily corrupted by money, and also by ideology.

The progression to more right with age is a historically temporary #American phenomenon born out of the fact that #boomers acquired increasing affluence because of the society in which they found themselves as a result of the #NewDeal & #progressive policies which they inherited
Having been born on third base and believing they had hit a triple, as a generation, they decided to slow this #wealth distribution thing down a little and now we find ourselves where we find ourselves. The move rightwards requires something to conserve.
