Homelessness and how to fix it.
There are thousands of homeless people sleeping in the streets of LA and other American cities. This is a problem that could be radically reduced in short order. How? Do the following two things:
1) Suspend/abolish all laws and regulations imposing so-called “minimum standards” for housing, which serve to make housing too expensive for the homeless, e.g., prohibiting the rental of living space in garages, basements, attics. They’re better than the street.
2) Suspend/abolish all laws and regulations that increase the cost of hiring labor, and thus prevent its’ employment. This will enable many or most of the homeless to earn some money and afford to pay rent/buy food.
Interventionist laws/regulations serve as mechanisms for persecuting the poor and downtrodden by raising the price of their necessities beyond their means while simultaneously destroying their ability to earn money.
