One other important point on the discussion we are having on @lawfareblog about obstruction. We have been debating this subject on the subject on the site continuously since the @Comey firing. There is an immense body of work on it on this site, reflecting a bunch of viewpoints.
I am immensely proud of this discussion and very grateful to @JoshMBlackman and @jacklgoldsmith for being willing to raise concerns others are not looking at.
These are very hard questions without easily available answers. The only way we get answers is to ventilate such matters. For those of you who are angry at @jacklgoldsmith and @JoshMBlackman for raising concerns, hold the bile. This is what the rule of law looks like.
To people who don't understand that, let me be explicit: @lawfareblog' hosts the debate. That's what we do. I could not feel more strongly on this point.
There are plenty of sites to read that will flatter your preconceptions, whatever they happen to be. That's not us.
