This @exxonmobile chart from 1982 predicted that in 2019 our atmospheric CO2 level would reach about 415 parts per million, raising the global temperature roughly 0.9 degrees C.

I stopped by the NY Auto Show last week to check out the EVs. Like everyone else, I was blown away by the @Rivian truck and SUV. Massive three rows with tons of cargo space, gorgeous interior, 400 mile range for <$100k (smaller batteries at start ~$70k). 0 to 60 in 3 seconds 1/
The iPace was great, inside and out, and Jaguar made it their signature experience, on a stage with small guided tours where they explained the car, and EV ownership, in great detail. Important educational work that more companies should be doing 2/
The Hyundai Kona was nice and seemed like a decent value. But for the same price, Tesla’s Model 3 is more compelling in almost every respect. The Chevy Bolt continues to fade, and the latest Nissan Leaf is solid but similarly failing to keep up in range+price 3/

Tesla's Supercharger upgrade is a pretty big deal. Once again, charging time has been cut in half. The 250kW charge rate isn't the industry fastest—others networks are being deployed capable of 350kW max—but there’s a key difference 1/
The difference is that Tesla already has a fleet of cars on the road that can actually handle 250kW charging. Most EVs today top out at 50kW, and most cars under development for the next few years max out at 100-150kW. Only the Porsche Taycan will be capable of 350 kW. Also 2/
Another breakthrough for Tesla is navigation-based thermal management for the battery. When a driver is headed to a Supercharger, the battery will pre-heat on approaches. Tesla says this improves charge time by 25%. If accurate, that’s an extremely low-cost charging innovation 3/

@DrDenaGrayson @VP @jaketapper In the U.S. at least, air pollution is down since 1992 for every single pollutant the EPA measures. And our CO2 emissions are down since the mid-1990s, yet #ClimateCatastrophists claim NONE of that improvement has slowed global, or U.S. #ClimateChange.

Not only are carbon dioxide levels rising each year, they are accelerating. Carbon dioxide is climbing at twice the pace it was 50 years ago. Even the increases are increasing.
In little more than a century of frenzied fossil fuel burning, we humans have altered our planet’s atmosphere at a rate dozens of times faster than natural climate change.

We are fast approaching the extremes of what we know ecosystem can handle.
